Van Dyke Park, Fairfax, VA, April 2023
I gathered fallen cherry blossom petals from my neighborhood to fill cracks in a nearby park path, where there were no cherry blossom trees. Left for pedestrians to discover as long as nature allowed, the ephemeral installation became a temporary Kintsugi, a gesture of care, a prayer for what might grow in the spaces between us.
